Last night (on top of everything else) was our school's Spring Band Concert. It was dedicated in memory of Katie, who died in the Enterprise tornado. We collected money to help with the rebuilding of the Enterprise High School band building. We had a great turn-out and collected over $1000.
I sent out press releases (Gary and I are Band Booster Presidents) and here is the coverage that was on the news...you may have to scroll down the side of the "video" box until you see A.C.A. Host Benefit Concert that looks like the picture above. There will be a short "commercial" at the beginning of the video, but then an interview with our Band Director, some students and some clips of the concert.
Update: my client passed away this afternoon. Lots of decisions in the next couple of days. Please keep this family in your prayers.
6 sweet friends had to say...:
I tried this earlier, but just came up with a blank page...maybe it's my computer!
I was able to view both the video and read the article. Both were very nice. What a special dedication to Katie.
By the way, how are her parents doing?
I'm so sorry though about your client. It's never easy, no matter the age. Hope things get settled easily.
I had trouble at first too. You have to click on the actual word "here" clicking elsewhere leads you nowhere! Then, on the video section, use the scroll button on the sidebar to scroll down to the story. It was a very good story and an excellent testimony of Christians loving on each other!
This has been a rough week for you. You need a nice relaxing massage, a tall cool drink, a great, big box of chocolates, and then...a nice nap. Seriously, I really DO wish all those things for you. I have had my own hard weeks lately, and it seems as if everything hits at once. So, when the whirlwind is over...take a little time and pamper yourself. You deserve it! My prayers are with you.
Great news about the band concert. I am sure that blessed her parents so much.
What a sweet way to remember Katie and the others effected by the tornado, as well as help with the rebuilding of the band facilities. I know the families and residents are grateful.
I'm so sorry to hear about your client.
