The many faces...

I was intriqued by Tonja's comment on my previous post that my new profile photo makes me look younger than my previous photo. I'm one of those people that is constantly changing hairstyles AND hair color! My natural hair color is black...well, with the exception of the gray that continues to show itself more frequently. I've been everything from heavily highlighted goldish blonde, to dark auburn and now back to black.

So what do you think? Does the longer, darker hair make me look younger or older? I'm debating on whether or not to get it cut over the Christmas break...

Weigh in...

I think that your darker color does make you look younger (you look very pretty in both photos!). I change my color a lot, too (*grin*) and if I go too light I get washed out-looking, but I can't go too dark, either. You are lucky to be able to go with what you want! You can't go wrong... :)

I think the longer, darker hair is a softer look for you. You have such a beautiful face and the darker hair seems to frame it so nicely. Keep it about that length - not much longer.

Well, I've seen you both ways in person and thought both looks great. I'd vote for the way it is now if I had to choose. You are young!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas hugs!

You are a beautiful woman either way, however I do like you with the darker and longer hair it frames your beautiful face and it brings out your eyes. I can't remember what my natural color looks like now come to think about it lol will have to look at childhood pictures. love always me

I agree, the longer, darker hair brings out your youth. (And I agree with Kat - you are young!!) But we won't hold it against you, ha, ha!!

You look great in both photos but I agree that the darker hair does make you look younger.

Tracey,
It's so funny you posted about the hair dilemma "older vs. younger"...I have been experiencing the same questions....I think (and by no means am I an expert) but you do look younger with the longer darker hair, it's a softer look (I may have to re-think my haircut, too...I need a softer look these days)...I thought you looked great and very young the other way, too...but then you posted these pictures, I must say...you are just one lovely lady...no matter which way you decide. However, I guess God does know something about which color looks best on us...I've tried the heavier highlights on my hair when it was a more layered look and thought it made the layers "pop"...only to have my son tell me a couple of years later...he preferred the more natural look of darker hair I had always had. I guess he likes his mom to resemble the same mom he grew up with.

What does hubby think about your hair? I bet if he is like my hubbin...he probably says something like..."oh hon...I like it however you wear it...it always looks great to me!"...how's that for being PC. Plus when you don't have hair (as is the case w/my hubbin) I guess any style or color hair looks great!!

Blessings....
Teresa

I'm really hoping you took no offense at my previous hair remark. I do have a tendancy to give opionions when none are asked for or desired...BUT..looks like the whole world agrees with me. You're a beautiful lady whatever you decide...and that comes from the inside!

No offense taken and I appreciate all the feedback!

Hubby likes it longer and my dark, natural color. So, I guess I'll stick with that for a while...it is much easier than getting it cut and highlighted every 6-8 weeks!

Tracey- I actually thought the same thing to myself. I like the longer/darker. You look beautiful in both!

Hey, I'm going to weigh in here and go with the majority--I like the dark, longer, "do."

Thanks for your comment. I know who all of the B girls are. I just checked out your blog the other day but was interrupted before I could leave a comment about the hair. I like the darker color, but if you are bored, you could always try the new color with the old cut, or the old color with the new cut. Just a warning, this is coming from someone that changes hairstyles about every 4 weeks. Take care

I have always thought that your newer pictures that you post on the blog look younger than your profile photo. I'm not sure if it's the hair or the pose, but I do love the softer hairstyle myself!

I love your longer darker hair! I might have to try that. Thanks for your visit and lovely comments. I enjoyed your tour too. I have a similar back set of windows that needs Griswold's magic touch. Amazing!
