A small world, indeed...

I clicked on a new link from my friend, Lisa (The Preacher's Wife), of a blog she's been reading entitled The Jungle Hut. The title alone intriqued me, so I thought I would venture over and give it a look-sey!

I discovered in looking through the posts and photos that this missionary's husband had on a shirt with the same logo of the mission my Dad belonged to and was later a Director. I got in touch with her and she shared with me that she knew my dad (he passed away last October) and that he was one of the ones that impressed her husband the most when they first joined the mission. I was thrilled and for some reason, the floodgates opened! Go on over and check her out...it's amazing the sacrifices missionaries make for the cause of Christ.

It's so great to start the day with warm fuzzies in your heart!

Awesome site! Thanks for the tip! A friend of mine's Dad is a missionary pilot in Venezuela, I'm wondering what is going on with him now!

Thanks for noticing the shirt! I have loved your comments, your Dad was greatly loved by so many! I recently met a girl online that had been my classmate in 4th grade! Now shes a missionary in Canada. Neat to find others serving still.

I think this story is so neat! Nikki over at www.mayhemandmiracles.blogspot.com says that God has a beautiful way of putting us all in the same circle! I visited that site and her site is beautiful and I am anxious to check out her adventures! Have a great day.

My daddy (along with my stepmother and 13 year old sister) was killed in a carwreck 13 years ago this month. I love it when I run into people who knew him, especially when they can tell me some funny or moving story that I didn't know about him or their relationship with him. It's almost like getting a little piece of him back for a little while.

Thanks for the comment on my blog. Everything is fine. I've just been sooooooooo busy. We just put our house and 32 acres on the market and I've been trying to keep everything "showable." It had better sell soon. I can't keep this place clean forever.

What an amazing connection for you!! I checked out Jungle Hut's blog, didn't have time to read much, but am already inspired. I just love being challenged beyond my little American world.
