It's Blog Party Time...

Normally I LOVE a good party! I really do love to entertain and always like having people over to the house. My hubby is a minister, and I wear multiple hats from Band Booster President, to Real Estate Broker, to Assistant to the Guidance Counselor at our school. A few weeks ago I added the "Mr Linky" for the 5minutesforMom Blog Party. Most of you have heard on all the news channels about the devastating tornadoes here in Alabama. One hit too close to home for us and took a life of a dear, sweet friend and former student of our school, Katie Strunk.

I'm hoping the link from the Blogger party will lead some new readers to this site. For the past couple of days, I've posted information on Katie and her family. Please take a moment to read the previous posts and see how you might can help Katie. If you can't give financially, please lift the family up in your prayers.

Lord, we want to be YOUR hands and feet.

Thanks for stopping by--be sure to introduce yourself!

I was just joining you for your party and can see why yours may be cancelled. Maybe a celebration of Katie's life instead...

I came by b/c of the comment you left for the blog party, when I looked at your profile and noticed where you lived I already knew somehow that you were affected by the tornado. I will pray for Katie's parents, I will pray for you and Zach that you will be able to minister to them during this time. It was nice meeting you and I will check in again.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Katie - what a terribly sad situation. I am praying for your community and her family. I stopped by to meet you via the blog party - and wouldn't you know it, I organize my clothing by color in my closet as well! There must be some sort of club for people like us.... God richly bless you and give you wisdom in dealing with the devastation of the tornadoes and loss of life around you.

Hi Tracey,
I'm just a little further south than you. I'm from Dothan. Thursday was indeed a tragic day. We spent some frightening moments in Dothan, but nothing to compare to Enterprise. I am so sorry that you lost a friend. God's ways are hard for us to understand sometimes, and we may never understand in this world. That's where faith comes in, right? How wonderful it is to know that He knows.
I understand about the clothes, mine are that way, too. Nice to know there are others like myself.
It's nice to meet you, and I will pray for Katie's family. And, I'll pray for your son, too. This has to be especially hard for him.
God bless.

Tracey,
You have a great site here, I enjoyed meeting you. I am so sorry to hear about Katie. When I watched the news on the tornado before names were released I just cried. I will be praying for her family and friends. You're right, sure makes saying goodbye each morning a lot more special.

Thanks for stopping by "My Quiet Corner". I have been hearing the tornado news. I grew up in the Midwest in what is known as tornado alley. We survived the Omaha twister of 75. I have seen first hand the destruction and life devestation that can be wrought. It happened in my own neighborhood.

I'm so, so very sorry for the loss of Katie's life. Praying for God's strength, peace, and steadfastness for all those involved in the loss of her as well as the other's!

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I think we have a little in common...Pastor's Wife...Band Mom...Work in a School...and Type A personality!

I was saddened to hear of your connection with the horrific storm that happened in Alabama last week. I have added this young lady's family to my prayer list.

I'm praying that God will make a way where there seems to be none...and that this tragedy is somehow turned around for His glory.

Blessings to you!!

:-) Susan

Hello there! I'm here for the party. Before my children were born I was in real estate too...as a processor. I've been a SAHM for 9 1/2 years now though and wouldn't trade it for anything. So sorry to hear about your friend. I will keep her family in my prayers.

Our family has always made it a point to say goodbye with hugs and kisses.... you're right. You never know when those might be the last words you speak together.

Hi Tracey! It's so nice to meet you!

I'm so, so sorry to hear about Katie. What a tragedy. My heart goes out to the family. Death is bad enough but to have someone so young, so full of life die, it's just so very sad.

Our local newspaper had an article and photo of Katie today since her Dad grew up just across the bridge (in Niceville) and attended high school there. Her family and friends and you and Zach are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi from Birmingham! Just dropping by to Par-tay. We've also been praying for the families in Enterprise. So sad. I went and gave blood on Friday, as that is all I can do at this time. Nice to meet you. By the way, where is your hubby the pastor?
