Ginger Rogers, I'm not...

...... but, oh! how I live vicariously through all these ballroom dancers! I have always loved watching ballroom dance competitions on the local PBS channel. The way they glide across the dance floor as if floating on air, the precision of the quick step, the rhythm of the mambo, the footwork of the fox trot...I love it all!

I have been anxiously awaiting the new season of Dancing with the Stars! I forgot to blog about it last week, but I am a complete and total fanatic about this show!!! I loved Drew and Cheryl two years ago and didn't think they could be "topped" until Cheryl did it again with Emmitt Smith last season. I loved it! Looks like she might be 3-time champion with her partner, Ian, who is showing much promise in the shake-the-hips category! But a contender in this competition could be Apolo, who has proven he can groove with the best of 'em. I'm also surprised at Leila (Muhammed Ali's daughter). Initially, I didn't think she would be very good, but I guess as a boxer, you gotta have some fancy footwork. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Heather Mills...when I first heard she was going to be on the show, I have to admit I thought, "oh brother, the sympathy vote!" but she has "wow-ed" me! She can dance better with a prosthetic leg than I will ever be able to with both my legs. She danced the mambo tonight and it was amazing.

Any of you out there addicted to this show like I am? If so, who are your favorites? By the way, did I see Chuck Woolery in the audience or did my eyes deceive me?! Maybe he was looking for a "Love Connection"!!!

Last season was the first time I ever watched the show, but like you, I was over the moon for Cheryl and Emmitt and SO happy they won. I haven't watched yet this season, because I'm a huge Prison Break fan, and it's on at the same time, but it ends in a week or two, so I'll get back to DwtS then. :)

I haven't watched it yet this season...but I do love it. Last year was great. I was really torn between Emmit and Mario. I'll have to get into the groove and catch up.

You'll have to call me the odd man out on that show...I've never seen it...

Hi, Tracey, I've watched a little this year, but haven't become enthralled with "Dancing" like I have with "Idol". They are fun to watch though...I have caught Heather Mills a couple of times & that girl is amazing with her leg and all. I can see why you like it.

No, di-dan, you're not the odd man out, we're the odd men out. (What in the heck are we saying??!!) Anyway, I've never watched it either, but I noticed the results show is at nine this evening, so it won't interfere with American Idol. I might just watch it so I have some idea what these fans are talking about!

I tried to watch this show once because I heard so much about it, but my 11 and 9 year old sons were shocked and awed by the costumes or lack thereof on the women!

Alas, with a 2 year old boy in the house I'm guessing it will be at least 18 years before I'll be able to watch this one!

I do like to hear about how everyone did though, so keep us posted!
