Center of Attention

I was talking with hubby about how the three of us (me, hubby and teenage son) spend far too many nights, all in the same office, backs to each other, tapping away on our own computers. Hours can slip by before anyone notices.

We've decided to re-institute "game night". Suprisingly, teenager was all for this! He invited one of his best friends that lives two streets over and we played Family Guy Monopoly....for HOURS! Does that game ever end?! Hubby always has to be the banker, and always wins. Hmmmm, Confuscious say "some-ting smell fishy here"!

Here's a picture of my baby, Zoe. She IS a puppy in a cat's body. She follows me all around the house and always has to be right in the middle of everything. She was helping Zack with his game, although he was doing purrrrrrfectly fine without her!

12 sweet friends had to say...:

I love playing games...board games, computer games, card games. It's truly a great way to spend time together.

Cute cat...it looks so much like one my daughter used to have. Her name was Allie (as in Alley Cat).

AW, poor Zach got his head cut off!! Cute, cute cat, though, and so nice that she has the personality of a puppy!

Game night - what a GREAT idea! I don't know what Family Guy Monopoly is, but when my Swedish grandchildren were visiting a few summers ago, they taught me how to play the original Monopoly and I really, really liked it. Ever hear of the game Rail Baron? That one goes on for hours and hours and involves strategy and money. It's great.

Sounds like fun! Those family times with your kids are gone too quik. Enjoy it!

Cute cat...even if I am allergic.

Hey Jean--it's just like the regular Monopoly, only it's theme is "Family Guy" which is a cartoon tv show that my son and his friends like.

I've never heard of Rail Baron. I'll have to check it out.

We love games too, especially with the entire family when we're all on vacation together. One night at the beach we were playing Phase 10 and it literally went on for hours and hours! I think we finally quit around 1 or 2 in the morning because we were all so tired and getting very silly!

Jean--were you really up at 3:44 a.m.???

Game night is a great idea, and I also believe that Monopoly goes on for hours...

That is an adorable picture of the cat...she's such a sweetie. Mine does the same thing about wanting to be right in the middle of things and I love it! I guess Sylvester couldn't be coaxed into a picture, huh...or was he off biting someone like he did me when I was there?? :-) I never believed what you said about THAT cat until I experienced it! :-) Zoe is sweet though and that is a precious picture, but I agree with Jean..."Poor Zack got his head cut off!"

You're probably an hour behind me, right? So it was actually 4:44 here. Yes, I got up at 4:15. I know that sounds ridiculous, but such is my life right now. Summer vacation is coming, praise God!

What a pretty cat!

I love to play games, but Dom refuses to play. My daughter Donna will play Parcheesi with me though.

Aww, Zoe's so pretty! I had a cat that was a dog in a cat suit. He came when called and everything.
